Plate-recognition camera (LPR/ANPR)

Captures the vehicle front, reads the plate on the camera’s own processor and checks it against the allowlist.

The technology behind it

What makes a modern car park fast, safe and manageable from one place.

AI plate reading at the edge

The camera reads and decides on its own processor, so the lane keeps moving without waiting for a server.

HIP CMH87: built-in plate-recognition processor

Keeps working offline

Vehicle lists live in the camera, which drives the barrier directly.

Hikvision DS-TMC403-E: up to 100,000 entries

Handles headlights and glare

Compensates for headlights and wide light ranges so plates stay readable at night and on ramps.

HIP CMH87: HLC · Hikvision DS-TMC403-E: 140 dB WDR

Stops tailgating

Video combined with radar or loop helps keep one permission to one vehicle.

Hikvision DS-TMC403-E: anti-vehicle following

Dual authentication

For high-security sites, both the UHF tag and the plate must match before the barrier opens.

ZKTeco ZKBioSecurity + LPRS2000

Real-time bay guidance

Every bay reports to the controller, which updates the free-bay displays immediately.

HIP CMD300 + CMD326 + guidance displays

Fast, heavy-duty barriers

Raises fast to cut queues, lowers slowly for safety, and is rated for continuous use.

Hikvision DS-TMG520: 0.9 s · 5 million cycles · 100% duty

Compare the brands

All three can deliver a complete car park. The difference is what you already run, the size of the site and the security level.

LINK American StandardThe cabling DPI specifies for its systems

Gates that work every day start with outdoor-ready cable

LPR cameras, barriers and readers live outdoors. DPI matches LINK cable to each point, from the lanes to the booth and control room.

  • US-9106OUTOutdoorCat6 UTP outdoorPE double jacket · 23 AWG · black

PoE LPR and lane cameras on poles and islands.

  • US-9106PWOutdoorCat6 UTP outdoor + power wirePE jacket · power wire built in · black

Barrier cabinets and lane readers that need power alongside data; check the power wire against the device load.

  • US-9106LSZHIndoorCat6 UTP · LSZH250 MHz · 23 AWG · cross filler · ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6

Booth PCs, servers and switches in the control room.

Sun, rain and ducts

Run outdoor cable in suitable conduit or trunking, and cross lanes in ducts planned before the slab is poured.

Distance to the booth

Plan conventional Ethernet channels up to 100 m including patch cords; farther lanes need a nearby switch or fiber.

Test before opening

Test and label every link, then check plate reads, barrier opening and power on every lane.

Model names and constructions are from LINK’s product list. Cable standards support the design; end-to-end performance is confirmed through the selected equipment, terminations, routing and project acceptance tests.

Backup power

Why parking needs a UPS

If LPR cameras, lane controllers and the server go dark, barriers stop opening on permission, queues build at the gate and entry records go missing.

APC by Schneider ElectricThe UPS brand DPI supplies and installs
  1. Power cut
  2. UPS takes over
  3. Lanes keep moving, records stay complete

What the UPS keeps running

  • LPR cameras
  • Lane controllers
  • Booth PC / server
  • Network switch

Agree which lanes must keep working in an outage and how barriers are raised by hand when backup runs out. Barrier motors draw more power than the electronics and are sized separately.

How to choose the right UPS

Why buy your parking system from DPI

One team from survey, design and supply to installation, testing and after-sales support.

Authorized distributor and certified partner

Equipment sourced through authorized channels, with model advice and the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

Designed from a site survey

Lane widths, turning space, vehicle types and peak arrivals are surveyed before choosing cameras, barriers and credentials.

The whole system, not just devices

Plate cameras, barriers, detectors, ticketing, bay sensors, guidance signs and software designed as one.

Honest brand advice

HIP, Hikvision or ZKTeco chosen for your existing systems, site size and security level.

Tested before handover

Authorized and unauthorized vehicles, real plates by day and night, detectors and recovery after faults tested on site.

Ongoing support nationwide

A Pathum Thani team providing maintenance and technical support across Thailand.

Before you specify

  • Provide lane widths, turning space, vehicle types, peak arrivals and pedestrian routes.
  • Confirm Thai plate support for the exact model and firmware; test camera angles and day/night lighting with representative plates.
  • Define access permissions, obstruction detection, operator override and the agreed response to power or network loss.

Testing & handover

Agree tests for authorized and unauthorized vehicles, event logs, detection equipment, operator control and recovery using the installed system.

Equipment details, compatibility and scope must be confirmed for each project.

Before you decide

Does every LPR camera support Thai plates?

Do not assume support from the LPR label alone. Confirm plate formats, model, firmware and regional support, then trial real plates under the site's conditions.

What happens if a plate is unreadable or power fails?

Agree an operator verification and fallback access procedure. Manual release or backup power depends on the chosen model and accessories and must be tested against its instructions.
